Morocco, known for its commitment to renewable energy, continues to diversify its energy sources with a particular emphasis on hydrogen.
The country aims to become a leader in the production of low-carbon hydrogen, thus attracting the interest of numerous international investors, including the French giant Engie.

According to consistent sources, a memorandum of understanding was recently signed between Storengy, a subsidiary of the French energy group Engie, and the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM).
This agreement aims to explore the natural hydrogen potential in the Moroccan central plateau. This region, rich in natural resources, could offer favorable conditions for the production of hydrogen at competitive costs, a key factor for the attractiveness of foreign investments.
